Why Should You Become a Member of NELA?

Below is an outline of the benefits associated with becoming a member of the Northeast Laundry Association. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATES: An informed industry is a pro-active industry. Using a lobbyist, NELA tracks the Massachusetts legislative issues affecting your business. You are kept up-to-date as issues arise and develop. Issues such as worker's compensation, unemployment compensation, sales tax, and mandatory health care are closely watched.

SEMINAR IN SPRING & FALL CONFERENCE: Informative meetings keep you in touch with issues concerning your industry. Topics are of benefit to owners, managers, and staff. Meetings give you maximum exposure to the issues, innovations, and decision-makers influencing your business. Members can attend all meetings at a DISCOUNTED RATE, allowing you to bring additional staff members. You also have the opportunity to participate in fun group activities allowing you to network and meet other professionals working in your industry. These meetings give you the chance to associate with others who have survived the lean years and prospered in the good years. Share common concerns, find practical solutions, and help build a better industry.

GOLF OUTINGS: Opportunity to meet other professionals in an informal atmosphere on the golf course. Prizes are awarded for the winning team, as well as for the longest drive and closest to the pin.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY: A membership directory is distributed to all members on an annual basis and allows you to have industry resources at your fingertips.

NEWSLETTER: This benefit includes updates on issues affecting the industry, news from members, and highlights of events. It is distributed quarterly.

Website: A listing for your company on our website, www.nelaundry.org. During the year, you will be able to visit our website for upcoming events, membership information, as well as useful associate member links. Please list your email address and website on the application so that we are able to list your information correctly .

GAS PROGRAM: The Northeast Laundry Association and WPS Energy Services are pleased to introduce a natural gas price management program designed for smaller customers. Typically, smaller customers lack the gas usage that attracts competitive natural gas supply prices from multiple natural gas supply providers as well as the ability to manage their natural gas price and mitigate the severe price volatility that exists within the natural gas market.

*NELA's dues covers the period of August 1 - July 31. Companies joining mid-year will be credited on their second year's dues.
